ABOUT THE CIVIC ASSOCIATION

The Gates Ridge Civic Association

We were incorporated on June 15, 1979 as a Not-For-Profit Corporation that promotes and protects the privileges and interests of the residents of the Gates-Ridge-Plainview Road area.  We work to foster interest in civic affairs; to inquire into governmental, political and civic abuses; to provide input when down-zoning occurs to protect the homeowners; to support or contest proposed changes in zoning; to inform the residents of unsafe practices and conditions; to maintain the entrances and sump areas when possible; and to cultivate knowledge of politics and government.

Our collection of dues, while minimal, offsets the cost of printing, insurance, mailings, bank charges, membership in the United Civic Association, legal funds when needed and maintaining the landscaping at the entrances and sump areas, utilities (lights & water) at the entrances.
